Your new companyA market leading international manufacturing group with offices near Colchester, Essex has an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join them as Assistant Financial Controller, working on a hybrid basis.Your new roleThe Assistant Financial Controller will report to the Financial Controller and work closely with the General Manager and have responsibility for:The delivery of accurate and complete monthly financial informationProvide insight and analysis into the key business drivers; productivity, costing, stock, sales, pricing and margin. Assist with the annual audit and year-end reportingMaintain fixed asset registerHave responsibility for the management and development of the costing and stock reporting systemsGeneral ledger managementCapital reporting and forecastingCashflow ReportingWorking Capital ReportingProvide assistance with budgeting and forecastingReview and development of processes and controlsPerform Internal Audit and liaise with external AuditorsVAT returns and annual Tax returnsIntercompany reconciliations and monthly ControlsLiaise with Banks, Auditors and other external organisations as requiredWhat you'll need to succeedThe Assistant Financial Controller will be a qualified Accountant or near completion of their professional studies; ACCA, CIMA and have experience within the commercial/industrial sector; manufacturing experience is beneficial. IT Skills: ERP and intermediate/advanced Excel with the ability to work with dataExcellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levelsStatutory reporting Costing and stock reportingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills What you'll get in returnThe Assistant Financial Controller will be offered a highly competitive salary package in the region of £45,000 to £50,000 plus benefits, which include: 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, pension and flexible benefits.
