Are you an experienced, strategic Health, Safety, Environment and Quality professional looking for a new challenge with a leading contractor? You have an exciting opportunity to join a reputable civil engineering contractor as Head of HSEQ. operating across the utilities and civil engineering sector. Due to the nature of the projects involved, you will have demonstrable experience of civil engineering environments and mitigating the risk in these environments. Water experience is preferable but not essential.

Reporting into the HSEQ Director you will be:

• Providing consistent and accurate HSEQ Leadership, support and advice to HSEQ Team members
• Leading HSEQ initiatives
• Provide operational safety, health, environment and quality support throughout the region
• Forming collaborative relationships with Clients and their senior HSEQ representatives
• Providing a key liaison in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality with internal and external stakeholders
• Driving best practice in a challenging health and safety environment

Knowledge of safety, health & environmental legislation and current construction practices is key, as is ability to coach, mentor and lead from site to board level. You will also be:

• Health & Safety Diploma-qualified
• Experienced in utilities or civil engineering projects (ESSENTIAL)
• CEnv or AIEMA (ESSENTIAL)
• Dynamic and personable
• Able to lead site teams with safety, health and environment issues
• Driven and autonomous
