Role Overview: Tradewind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Primary School in Tameside. This role involves providing 1:1 support to a SEND child in Key Stage 1 (KS1). The position is full-time and will initially last until the end of the current academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualised support to a SEND child, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.
• Assist the class teacher in creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Implement and adapt educational plans in collaboration with the school's SENCO and other staff.
• Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to promote the child's academic and social development.
• Monitor and document the child's progress, providing regular updates to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally within KS1.
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
