Field Service Engineer to join our team, responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of
water treatment systems across the UK, with occasional overseas travel. This is a hands-on role that involves
working directly with customers, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal performance of water treatment equipment.
Key Responsibilities - Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of water treatment systems, including Reverse Osmosis (RO), Deionisers, Water Softeners, Filtration Units, and Effluent Treatment Plants.
- Carry out installations and commissioning of new systems, ensuring seamless integration into customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues both on-site and remotely, providing expert guidance to customers and plant operators.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact for technical support and service-related queries.
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately using MS Word and other software tools.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
- Proactively contribute to service improvements, identifying ways to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Participate in training and professional development to continuously expand technical expertise.
A
company vehicle, tools, PPE, and mobile phone will be provided. While this role is primarily field-based, some overnight stays may be required depending on customer needs. All travel and accommodation expenses will be fully covered.
What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A full UK driving license and a willingness to travel.
- A background in electrical or mechanical engineering (electrical qualifications preferred, but mechanical experience will also be considered).
- Experience in water treatment systems is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a technical support role is beneficial.
- Knowledge of PLC systems is an advantage but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with customers at all levels.
- Competency in using IT systems for reporting and documentation.
