We're seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to head up our clients regional personal welfare team in the heart of Yorkshire and North East. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise to improve the lives of vulnerable individuals and their families.
What you'll do:
- Lead a Team: Oversee a talented team of social work assistants, providing guidance and support.
- Empower Clients: Conduct assessments, offer essential services like welfare benefits advice and advocacy, and provide emotional support.
- Drive Innovation: Continuously improve service delivery, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Safeguard and Support: Act as the safeguarding lead, upholding best practices and fostering a supportive team culture.
- Build Partnerships: Collaborate with professionals and agencies to deliver seamless support.
- Promote Our Mission: Represent our organisation at events and contribute to new service initiatives.
What you'll need:
- A social work degree and current professional registration
- Proven leadership experience in social care
- Expertise in community-based care for older adults and/or individuals with disabilities
- In-depth knowledge of welfare benefits and relevant legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle
