About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) to join our dynamic team. As an SEN TA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students with SEMH needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. This is a full-time, long-term position that offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Application Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs in a primary school setting.

• Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable.

• Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

• Knowledge: Understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions. Familiarity with the UK primary curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Students: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop coping strategies.

• Implement Strategies: Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

• Monitor Progress: Track and report on the progress of students, adapting support plans as needed to ensure their success.

• Create a Positive Environment: Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and emotional well-being.
