Ward Manager - Mental Health Nurse

Salary: Up to £60,000

40 hours per week

We are seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our client's team as a Ward Manager. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ward and providing a safe, caring, supportive and therapeutic environment for a small number of patients with acute mental health conditions.

Qualifications
  • Nurse qualification - Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with a valid UK NMC Pin
  • Minimum 1 year experience within a Ward Manager position
  • Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions and their treatment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients and a well-coordinated admission and discharge pathway
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care
  • Engage with patients and their families to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard, fostering a safe, caring, and supportive environment for recovery


Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to create a safe, caring, supportive and therapeutic environment for patients
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to patients with mental health conditions, utilizing individualized treatment care plans
  • Implement and monitor care plans and treatment protocols in coordination with the locality community and crisis/home treatment teams
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to staff members in order to promote a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and a well-coordinated admission and discharge pathway
  • Uphold regulatory compliance and adhere to quality standards to provide a high quality, safe and secure environment for both patients and staff
  • Contribute to staff training, development, and performance appraisals with a commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace
