Job Description Ward Manager - Mental Health Nurse Salary: Up to £60,000 40 hours per week We are seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our client's team as a Ward Manager. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ward and providing a safe, caring, supportive and therapeutic environment for a small number of patients with acute mental health conditions.
Qualifications - Nurse qualification - Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with a valid UK NMC Pin
- Minimum 1 year experience within a Ward Manager position
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions and their treatment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients and a well-coordinated admission and discharge pathway

Responsibilities - Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to create a safe, caring, supportive and therapeutic environment for patients
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to patients with mental health conditions, utilizing individualized treatment care plans
- Implement and monitor care plans and treatment protocols in coordination with the locality community and crisis/home treatment teams
- Provide clinical leadership and support to staff members in order to promote a positive and inclusive work environment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and a well-coordinated admission and discharge pathway
- Uphold regulatory compliance and adhere to quality standards to provide a high quality, safe and secure environment for both patients and staff
- Contribute to staff training, development, and performance appraisals with a commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace
