Site Manager

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee highway construction and maintenance projects. The role involves managing on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of highway construction, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Supervise daily site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and safety standards.

Team Leadership: Manage on-site teams, including subcontractors, to ensure efficient and safe work practices.

Health & Safety: Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.

Quality Control: Implement quality control measures, ensuring all work meets required standards and specifications.

Resource Management: Manage materials, equipment, and labor to optimize project costs and efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, local authorities, and the public, addressing concerns and providing project updates.

Qualifications:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).

10 years of site management experience in the highways sector.

Strong knowledge of highway construction processes and regulations.

Valid certifications (SMSTS, CSCS, etc.) and a Full UK Driving License
