Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, B21 | £90 - £105 per day | September 2024 start

We are on the lookout for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant to become part of our esteemed partner primary school in the Handsworth area. This rewarding position offers the chance to positively impact the lives of children as they embark on their educational journey. For the right candidate, the school would love for you to join them on a long-term to permanent basis.

Main Duties include:

Assist in developing and modifying teaching resources and materials to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
Support the class teacher in delivering lessons.
Provide one-on-one support to underperforming students and conduct small group sessions, both inside and outside the classroom.
Handle challenging behaviour with confidence.
Utilise a variety of strategies and interventions to re-engage pupils in learning and address negative behaviour.The ideal candidate will:

Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant degree.
Have at least one years' experience working within a school.
Have experience leading 1:1 or group interventions (desirable).
Have a good understanding of supporting SEN students.
