Monarch Education is looking for a qualified English Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Tipton.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to delivering engaging and well-structured English lessons that meet the needs of all students. Key Responsibilities of an English Teacher:

Teaching and Learning:

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5 (including GCSE and A-Level).
Adapt and differentiate lesson plans to cater to students of varying abilities, ensuring all learners can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
Maintain high standards of student engagement, fostering a love for English and promoting critical thinking through creative teaching methods.
Encourage analytical thinking and interpretation skills by integrating diverse texts, literary devices, and writing techniques into lessons.Classroom Management:

Establish and maintain clear rules and expectations for student behaviour to ensure a positive and focused learning environment.
Use effective classroom management strategies to promote respect, focus, and collaboration among students.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment, ensuring students feel confident in expressing themselves, especially during discussions and group work.Assessment and Feedback:

Regularly assess student progress using a variety of methods, including written assignments, presentations, and exams.
Provide constructive feedback to help students improve academically, with a focus on both writing skills and analytical abilities.
Use data from assessments to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and support students who may need additional help.Curriculum Development:

Collaborate with the English department to review and develop the curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, challenging, and inspiring.
Support students in their preparation for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring they are fully equipped for success.Student Welfare and Support:

Support students' academic, emotional, and social development, offering guidance and encouragement as needed.
Build strong relationships with students, helping them navigate challenges and celebrating their successes.
Contribute to the school's wider pastoral and enrichment programs, promoting student development beyond the classroom.Collaboration and Professional Development:

Participate in departmental meetings, sharing ideas and best practices to improve teaching and learning within the English department.
Work closely with other staff, support teams, and school leaders to enhance overall school performance and outcomes.
Take part in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching skills and subject knowledge.Key Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).Experience:

Proven experience teaching English at KS3, KS4, and KS5, with a strong understanding of the English curriculum.
Experience using a variety of assessment methods and tailoring teaching to individual learning styles.
Ability to use data to inform lesson planning and improve student outcomes.Skills and Attributes:

Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage students and create a positive learning environment.
A passion for English and the ability to inspire students with a love for reading, writing, and analysis.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, sharing ideas and collaborating to improve teaching practices.
