We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Building Safety department, focusing on cladding remediation programmes and implementation of the Building Safety Act. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in contract management and an understanding of the RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee cladding remediation programmes and ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act, including registering high-risk buildings and preparing safety cases

* Lead contract management for remediation projects, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to terms, timelines, and quality standards

* Apply knowledge of RIBA Plan of Work stages to integrate building safety considerations throughout remediation and new development projects

* Manage a national team responsible for building safety and cladding remediation, fostering professional development and high performance

* Engage with key external partners including local and central government, the building safety regulator, and fire and rescue services

* Act as the Accountable Person for understanding and mitigating fire and structural risks in buildings, commissioning necessary safety assessments

* Develop and maintain a digital golden thread of building information related to fire and structural safety

* Provide strategic leadership in risk management, compliance, and quality assurance across the building portfolio

* Implement a customer engagement strategy for high-risk buildings, ensuring clear communication throughout remediation processes

* Deliver meaningful management information and analytical reports to senior leadership, supporting data-driven decision making

Qualifications and Experience:

* CIOB Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management or equivalent degree in construction, building surveying, or asset management

* Extensive experience in contract management, particularly in construction or building remediation projects

* Understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and its application to building safety and remediation projects

* In-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act, cladding remediation processes, and fire safety regulations

* Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and leading multidisciplinary teams

* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
