ENVIRONMENT:

A dynamic provider of Immersive Business Design Solutions seeks the expertise of a Senior Project Manager to join its Operations Division where you will take charge of managing client expectations around delivery and team resourcing. You will serve as the liaison between client, Developers and Account Manager, coordinate user stories, while preparing for and managing the scheduling of regular meetings such as Sprint Review, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospectives. The successful incumbent must posses a Scrum Master Certificate with 5+ years' experience within areas including Software Development, Asset Management, Banking and Digital Agency. You must also be familiar with Agile processes and principles & have experience with Coaching, Forecasts, budgets and billing and Value Proposition.

DUTIES:

Client Liaison -

  • Communicate resourcing and timelines with clients.
  • Manage client expectations around delivery and team resourcing.
  • Work with client to ensure there is enough work for future sprints to keep the team busy.
  • Ensure requirements are fleshed out from client BA and liaise with the Development team.
  • Assist with proposal generation for new clients if required.
  • Responsible for quoting on new work for current clients.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and escalate to the CEO.
  • Manage changes within the team in accordance with the change control process.
  • Obtain client change approval prior to deployment.

Project Management - internally -

  • Liaison between client, Developers and Account Manager.
  • Follow up with QA personnel on a test plan/test execution before scheduled UAT and prod releases.
  • Report back to management about project details, including but not limited to sprint velocity and release delivery.
  • Coordinate user stories from client requirements.
  • Prepare for and manage scheduling of ad hoc meetings between various project stakeholders.

Sprint Meetings -

  • Prepare for and manage scheduling of regular meetings such as Sprint Review, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Ensure meetings are time boxed.
  • Calculate story point team allocation over upcoming sprints.
  • Manage team member sprint tasks and velocity.
  • Review stand-up feedback, action blockers and dragging tasks.
  • Ensure team follows good agile practices in accordance with chosen methodology, e.g. Stand-Up / Daily bot, Grooming, Planning, Retrospectives, Sprint demos and Stand-Downs (where applicable).
  • Estimate and/or size work collaboratively.
  • Iteration and frequent releasing of production-ready code.

Team Happiness -

  • Identify and escalate potential team issues.
  • Implement retro feedback and escalate potential issues, if necessary, after each sprint.
  • Responsible for team building/meeting snacks after a successful deployment.

Timekeeping -

  • Daily checking of team timesheets.

Monthly billing -

  • Assist Office Manager with monthly invoicing.

Personal Development -

  • Formulate plan with Manager to address skills gaps: Training material, Exams / Certifications, Target completion dates.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Scrum Master Certification.
  • 5+ Years experience within areas including Software Development, Asset Management, Banking and Digital Agency.
