Accountant

My client is a Local Authority in Gloucestershire who are looking to appoint an Accountant on a Contract basis.

What's on offer:

• Salary: £250 - £350 per day, inside IR35.

*negotiable based on experience

• Contract type: Contract (37 hrs a week)
• Hours: 08:00 -16:30 Monday to Friday

About the role:

Based in Gloucestershire (Hybrid):

• To Work alongside existing Senior Closing Accountant to clear the back log of audit queries and develop reports for our new finance system to aid closing down.
• Supporting the Finance Business Partner in the preparation of revenue and capital budgets and the preparation of budget monitoring information

About you:

You will have the following experiences:

• Qualified Accountant (CCAB) or equivalent.
• Experience of preparing the statement of accounts and strong ICT skills (ie Excel, SQL, Power BI).
• Detailed, up-to-date knowledge of all relevant aspects of Local Government finance including Local Authority accounting.
