We are recruiting for this renowned, specialist manufacturing company in the Wigan area who are looking for a confident, competent and experienced Garment Production Manager join their growing facility in Wigan.

As the GarmentProduction Manager you will be responsible for improving efficiency, managing productionprocedures and processes. You will be managing a team of7Productionemployeesthis includes 2 sewing machinists, 5 Workshop assistants and a pattern cutter.You will be professional and quick-thinking with good problem-solving ability. This role will also involve close collaboration with other departments to ensure products are delivered to customers within the specified timeframe and to verify that product quality meets our standards.This individual will work closely with design, procurement, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure that production meets market demand, quality standards, and budget constraints.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing manufacturing and production processes
  • Creating and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules
  • Procuring factory production equipment and taking responsibility for its maintenance
  • Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across allthe department
  • Streamlining processes and improving efficiency
  • Implementing all the company's procedures and policies
  • Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management
  • Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control
  • Implementing safety, health, environment and quality requirements
  • Maintain accurate stock levels using warehouse and stock computer systems
  • Ensure goods received from suppliers are checked against paperwork, labelled correctly, and placed in designated stock locations
  • Investigate stock anomalies and discrepancies, reporting findings to management
  • Managing employee absences, training requirements
  • Approving fabric quality, colours, packaging and labelling for production garments
  • Sourcing and approving technical fabrics
  • Co-ordinating and monitoring shipping of fabrics and trimming from the UK to the Far East
