My client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will manage various accounting processes, including invoice and staff expense payables, fixed assets, and accruals/prepayments. This role is integral to supporting the CFO and the finance team in completing Head Office & Management Accounts reporting and taxation tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage the accounts payable process in line with the supplier screening process.
  • Record and maintain staff expense claims and prepare credit card expenses monthly.
  • Manage the accruals and prepayments processing, ensuring monthly reconciliations are strictly maintained.
  • Handle petty cash payments and reconciliation.
  • Keep task descriptions updated at all times.
  • Manage the scanning of supplier invoices and staff expense claims.
  • Assist in the preparation of Head Office monthly/quarterly/annual Questionnaire & Management pack as directed.
  • Jointly responsible for the preparation of Corporation Tax Return supporting schedules.
  • Prepare Accounts Department entries for daily Nostro Reconciliations.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and perform an annual review of assets.
  • Prepare monthly capex IT reports to Head Office.
  • Classify new accounts in the banking system as per regulatory classifications.
  • Prepare the Daily Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheet Analysis Report.
  • Assist in the production of Treasury Meeting Reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Familiarity with accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset management.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of banking systems and regulatory classifications.
  • Proficiency in preparing financial reports and supporting schedules for tax returns.
  • Ability to adhere to regulatory conduct rules and compliance requirements.
