Estimator - Cladding SFS

Location: Basildon, Essex with some home working after probation

About the Role

Our client, a leading construction company specialising in external facades, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparing, issuing, and progressing quotations.

* Attending pre-order meetings and conducting site visits as required.

* Negotiating to secure orders and providing detailed handovers to the construction team.

* Assisting Site Managers and Surveyors with pre-start planning and programming.

* Producing detailed quotation analyses and high-quality quotation documents.

* Building up item rates from scratch and managing multiple projects concurrently.

What You'll Need

* At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, with expertise in external facades, including rainscreen cladding, lightweight steel framing (SFS), and insulated render systems.

* Proficiency in on-screen measuring software (e.g., Bluebeam), Excel, and Outlook, with excellent numeric and communication skills.

* The ability to carry out on-screen take-offs, prepare bills of quantities, and write detailed descriptions.

* A conscientious, disciplined, and diligent work ethic, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

* A full, clean UK driving licence and a willingness to travel for meetings when required.
