Are you a graduate in Psychology, Criminology, or Drama looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with special educational needs? Academics is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join a specialist SEN school in Surrey as a Learning Support Assistant. This full-time, long-term role offers a fantastic opportunity for graduates aspiring to build careers in Clinical or Educational Psychology, or for those wanting to work with children with additional needs.

The Role:

  • Providing tailored 1-to-1 support for children with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Supporting students with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural challenges
  • Assisting the specialist provision team in delivering structured and creative learning experiences
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff

What We're Looking For:

  • Recent graduate in Psychology, Criminology, or Drama (BSc/BA/MSc/MA)
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs and SEN
  • Ideal for candidates aiming to progress into Clinical or Educational Psychology
  • Interest or experience in working with children with behavioural challenges or autism
  • Experience in a care setting or SEN school is desirable but not essential
  • Patient, resilient, and enthusiastic about making a positive difference
