About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant primary school in Havering, London. As an HLTA, you will work alongside teachers to support and deliver engaging learning experiences for children across Key Stages 1 and 2. Application Requirements:

• A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working within primary school settings, especially in Key Stages 1 or 2.
• Confidence in leading small group activities and supporting whole-class learning.
• Excellent communication skills, and a supportive, proactive approach to working with children.
• Experience or an interest in working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering the curriculum and support student engagement and understanding.
• Lead small group sessions and provide one-on-one support to students who may need extra help.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, safe, and productive atmosphere.
• Assist with planning and preparation of learning resources, as well as marking and assessments.
