My client is a well-established specialist in the overhaul and dismantle of motors, pumps and gearboxes. Due to ongoing success, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to work both in their workshop and out in the field. The successful candidate will have a background in mechanical fitting of gearboxes and be based within commutable distance of East London.

• Working in a large workshop
• Carrying out repairs, dismantle and overhaul on gearboxes, bearings and shafts and rollers
• Using lathes, drilling and milling machines
• Fitters are required to travel to client sites as required. This will mainly be around London and the South East, with occasional trips to the Midlands and North. A van pool is provided for this.
• Carrying out servicing at client sites
• Fulfilling duties as instructed by workshop management

• A background in any of the following: gearboxes, bearings and shafts, rollers. Car mechanics considered.
• CSCS Card beneficial
• Able to use hydraulic presses beneficial
• Able to measure to tolerance and size beneficial
• Based within commutable distance of East London
• UK Driving Licence

• Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + overtime
• Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x for Sundays
• Extra pay for being on rota
• Hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00, Weekends optional
• 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
• BUPA Healthcare after 1 year
