The role - Multiskilled Operatives

Fresh People are currently recruiting for Multiskilled Operatives for a fresh produce business based in Dartford, Kent. This is a full-time, on-site position working within the warehouse, ripening, and production departments. The role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of product and equipment throughout the facility, following defined processes and upholding the highest standards in health and safety.

The Person

Candidates must have experience working in a warehouse or packing environment and hold a valid Counterbalance licence. A flexible and proactive approach to work is essential, along with good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team. A good understanding of English is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Supply product and equipment to production efficiently and safely

* Load and unload vehicles and storage areas using articulated trucks

* Use Microsoft D365 to receipt, move, and dispatch product

* Use handheld scanners to scan and move product throughout the system

* Strap and scan pallets, assemble customer orders, and move stock to designated areas

* Replenish packaging stock and maintain cleanliness in work areas

* Follow health & safety procedures, including daily checks of equipment

* Report unsafe conditions, accidents, and incidents immediately

* Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure waste is stored and removed properly

* Co-operate with managers and supervisors on all health and safety matters

* Complete additional tasks as requested by line management
