ProsperoTeaching is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with children who have autism at a specialist school in Poole. In this role, you will help students access their learning in an inclusive, supportive environment. You'll be engaging with children through play-based learning, using creative activities to build confidence, encourage social interaction, and develop essential skills.
The school is an all through school, from ages 3-19.

- Minimum rate of pay - £13.09 per hour
- Hours - 09:15am - 15:30pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
- Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation.
- The ability to grow individual personal development.
- Be caring, patient and have good communication skills.
- Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative.
- Experience supporting an individual with Autism.
- Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
