A market leading testing laboratory is recruiting for a 12-month FTC Senior Analytical Chemist to join its analytical team, based in Shropshire. As their Senior Analyst, you will provide effective analytical testing services to external customers whilst also ensuring all equipment is maintained/calibrated.

Senior Analytical Chemist responsibilities

* Provide an effective analytical testing service (LCMS & GC-MS) to external and internal customers by the application of expertise and problem-solving skills.

* Produce high quality data and reports for customers (both internal and external) in an accurate and timely manner.

* Be instrumental in project implementation.

* Provide efficient organisation of equipment resources.

* Ensure maintenance of specified equipment

* Provide training and development for junior colleagues.

* Provide advanced technical expertise where required.

* Provide knowledge of regulatory and customer requirements for noncomplex and complex lab projects.

Senior Analytical Chemist requirements

* Degree level qualification in Chemistry or closely related.

* Proven industry experience using LCMS instruments - GC-MS experience is highly desired in addition.

* Strong background operating to strict quality standards such as UKAS, ISO and/or GMP.

* Ability to work without supervision.

* Strong IT skills - familiarity with instrument analysis software.
