Job Description: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator with a background in general build or modular construction to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of their projects by accurately estimating costs and preparing detailed budgets for a wide range of modular construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for modular construction projects, including education, construction sites, commercial, transport, and MOD sectors.

*

Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to determine costs and identify potential risks.

*

Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather essential project information.

*

Develop and maintain a detailed cost database, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

*

Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure cost-effective solutions.

*

Prepare and present detailed cost reports, budgets, and proposals to management and clients.

*

Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, adjusting as necessary to stay within budget.

*

Provide support to the project management team with financial forecasts and cash flow analysis.

*

Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and advancements in modular construction techniques.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as an Estimator in the general build or modular construction industry.

*

Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.

*

Proficiency in using estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, PlanSwift).

*

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.

*

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

*

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

*

A relevant degree or certification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
