A new Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor position has just landed in Sussex! Are you looking for a new challenge?

Location: Near Brighton, Sussex

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £55 - 60k (depending upon experience)

The Project:

A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs and specialist framework projects.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation in the area.

This role will be site / office based 5 days a week.

You will be responsible for:

Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
Negotiating costs with various parties
Drawing up contracts (NEC)
Monthly reporting (CVR)
Responsible for work package change control and management
Dealing with any pricing variations
Responsible for project re-measure
Preparing final accountsRequirements:

Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
Attention to detail
Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special worksBenefits:

£55,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + package
