We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a social housing provider based in Leeds for a Housing Support Coach on a temporary basis looking to start as soon as possible. The role is a full-time position on a monthly rota which includes day shifts and evening shifts, with some weekend work.

The sccessful candidate must have an Enhanced DBS and have experience in providing empowering and sensitive support to service users.

Day to day duties will include:

  • To provide empowering and sensitive support to service users
  • To develop personalised practical support, assistance and activities tailored to individual need
  • Provide accurate and timely records of customer contact, support plans and service monitoring information ensuring contractual compliance and achieving consistently high performance
  • Develop and facilitate training and awareness to promote positive independent living skills and promote healthy lifestyle choices
  • Facilitate group/individual activities with service users and the wider community and deliver within agreed budgets
  • Promote services widely with external agencies and internally with colleagues
  • Conduct and participate in events to promote the service, including fundraising
  • Collect rent/charges from service users, assist in effective rent/charges account and void management processes
  • Assist Housing Support Coordinators in the delivery of agreed support packages for tenants
  • Manage anti-social behaviour at the project, liaising with appropriate services
  • Report to the Housing Support Coordinator and Night Support Workers during a shift handover on service user information and any incidents taking place during the shift including safeguarding concerns, breaches of tenancy and warnings to be issued
  • Coordinate and guide volunteers to the project and the running of activities
  • Carry out prompt cleaning and clearing of vacant rooms so they are ready to let, keeping void loss to a minimum
  • Promptly Source affordable replacement furniture/ equipment for void rooms/flats keeping costs to a minimum
  • Log and report all repairs, including emergency repairs, in line with procedures
  • Participate in service rotas, including evening and weekend shifts
