Job Description:Resourcery Group are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team based in the Wirral. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who is working towards completing an accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) and is eager to develop their skills in management accounting within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed analysis to support decision-making.
  • Conduct variance analysis, identifying key trends, discrepancies, and potential risks, and communicate findings to management.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand and analyze financial performance, and report on KPI's.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting tools.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis to assist senior management with strategic planning.
  • Maintain and update financial models, ensuring they are robust and provide accurate forecasting.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a recognized accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Prior experience in a similar accounting or finance role is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
