School Attendance and Student Support Officer- Lambeth

Do you have experience working in a school environment as an Attendance Officer or Student Support Officer? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in Lambeth.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and improve student attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies and government regulations.
Identify and support students who are at risk of persistent absenteeism.
Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to promote regular attendance.
Provide one-to-one student support, addressing any barriers to learning.
Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed academically and socially.
Maintain accurate attendance records and prepare reports for senior leadership.

Attendance Officer Requirements:

Previous experience as an Attendance Officer or Student Support Officer within a school environment.
A proactive approach to improving attendance and supporting student well-being.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff.
Knowledge of attendance and safeguarding procedures.
A commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
