We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic sub-contractor working on behalf of a Tier 1 contractor. This role is based in Leicestershire, offers an immediate start, and is paid on a day rate between £160 - £240, dependent on experience.

About the Role:

The position involves working on a range of projects using JCT, Design & Build (D&B), and NEC contracts. There will be some site visits required, so a valid UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will:

1. Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects.

2. Support in managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments.

3. Help monitor project costs to ensure they remain within budget.

4. Review and assess contract documentation, including JCT, D&B, and NEC formats.

5. Assist in identifying and valuing variations and changes to the scope of works.

6. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with financial targets.

7. Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting risks and cost control opportunities.
