**Support Worker Role Responsibilities**

- Work within a residential care team supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
- Ensure the safety and engagement of children throughout the day under senior staff direction.
- Manage challenging behaviour (including verbal abuse and potential threats).
- Serve as a positive role model, maintaining a consistent and responsible approach.
- Help young people develop functional approaches to behaviour, particularly those who have faced rejection or significant challenges.
- Support young people in developing independence and social skills in preparation for adulthood.
- Liaise with parents, carers, other third parties, and the staff team.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.

* **Experience**: Applicants from all social care, healthcare, and education backgrounds are welcome, with roles available at various levels. If you have experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Care Worker, Childcare Practitioner, Teaching Assistant, or in a related role, please apply now.
