Review all preliminary contract documentation [drawings, specification etc] and produce RFI's / TQ's for submission.

* Actively chase RFI's/TQ's in a timely manner to ensure overall design meet the contractual programmes

* Compile DDS [Design Deliverable Schedule] to ascertain required level of drawings. Update actively with drawings that can be completed, drawings in delay and report to the Design Manager and Project Team

* Track & raise all design changes to the Project Team as soon as the change becomes apparent

* Liaise with commercial and procurement staff to identify, assess and advise of changes to scope or specification.

* Attend Design Co-ordination meetings when required.

* Attending site when required.

* Manage the contractual compliance within each process and ensure that engineering solutions, meet the requirements of the Contract and Client.

* Provide guidance and mentorship to Designers & Trainee Designers with any design or technical queries.

* Cross check material schedules prepared by other members of the Design Team.

* Liaise with structural engineers to obtain calculations to prove design compliance.

* Engage with Manufacturers and Suppliers to ensure designs are in accordance with recommendations and warranties will be maintained

* Working to contract specifications, drawings and Employers' requirements to produce high-quality technical CAD designs from plans/ elevations/details/schematics etc

* Co-ordinating the drawings development against site survey results

* Attend Handover Meetings with the Head of Technical Design or Design Manager on all new projects to gather all required information to fully understand the projects

* Attend Planning Meetings on all Projects that you are a stakeholder in and provide updates to the wider Project Team

* Produce Fabrication Drawings for all profiles, flashings and panels and issue to Procurement Department

* Provide internal panel elevation drawings/setting out or schematics to assist Procurement Department with material purchasing, sequencing as and when required

* Complete and issue full material schedules with all specifications and quantities for Procurement Department to purchase. Where necessary, complete all Manufacturers standard templates for material procurement

* Comply with Procurement and Priority Trackers to ensure all schedules and fabrications are issued in a timely manner to meet contractual programmes.

* Produce, update and maintain material and fabrication trackers.

* Plan and manage own workload to meet target programmes set by the Design Manager or Head of Technical Design. Report progress on a regular basis to the Design Manager or Head of Technical Design which could get incorporated into the monthly board report.

* Produce design risk assessments in conjunction with Design Manager and/or Head of Technical Design
