ROLE – Senior Structural Design EngineerSALARY - £50,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)TYPE - PermanentLOCATION – Dorset My client provides bespoke structural engineering solutions for manufacture. They are looking for a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their team in the Dorset area on a permanent basis.     The Senior Structural Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar 
• Strong experience with steel
• 5 or more years’ industry experience ideally working in a similar role within structural design
• Proficient with using structural analysis software, ideally Tekla, RWIND, Dlubal etc.
• Strong CAD skills, experienced with AutoCAD for design
• Confident knowledge of building/construction codes and structural disciplines 
• Management / leadership experience would also be beneficial 
• Able to manage design projects from concept to delivery 
• Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry 
• Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Senior Structural Design Engineer role will involve:

• Being responsible for the design and development of various products and structures
• Leading a team of Junior Structural Engineers
• Using CAD and structural analysis software on a day-to-day basis
• Developing ideas from concept to production 
• Creating models/prototypes
• Liaising with clients and developing solutions
• Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects 
• Maintaining technical drawings and documentation 
• Providing technical guidance and support
