The role:
The Royal Aeronautical Society is a professional body dedicated to aerospace communities. We exist to further the advancement of aeronautical art, science, and engineering around the world.
The subscriptions executive will support the Membership & Professional Standards Department with all membership subscriptions, data management and customer service. They will be responsible for data integrity within our CRM system whilst reporting on growth targets and ensuring the smooth running of the day to day subscriptions tasks.
This role requires a data driven and analytical individual to ensure the smooth running of the financial records for the Membership and Professional Registration Subscriptions at The Royal Aeronautical Society.
Key Objectives for the Role (but not limited to):
- Payment Processing: Handle payments efficiently, including cheques, BACS payments, and card payments (via phone, email, and post).
- Managing Member Enquiries: Direct inquiries appropriately and provide accurate information to potential and existing members, assisting with subscription or membership requests.
- Membership & Registration Administration: Process and manage new membership applications, ensuring all records are accurately updated in the CRM system, including creating and updating sales orders.
- Communication and Support: Send election emails to new members, respond to queries, and offer guidance on upgrading and renewing memberships.
- Recruitment and Retention: Contribute to activities aimed at recruiting and retaining registrants, following up with new and existing inquiries to convert them into registrations and memberships.
- Dispatch of Materials: Coordinate the dispatch of membership literature and promotional materials for events, exhibitions, and membership briefings.
- Election Data Management: Provide necessary data for general elections and AGM notices, ensuring all details are updated in the CRM system as required.
- Invoice Scheme Management: Oversee communications with members on invoice schemes, including reconciliation of data, and update CRM for those on or removed from these schemes.
- CRM Updates: Ensure that the CRM system is regularly updated with accurate information for all members, including any changes to membership status or payment schemes.
These objectives will help ensure the smooth running of the membership and registration processes, providing essential support for the recruitment, retention, and management of members.
About you:
- Our ideal candidate will be of degree calibre and will have previous experience of working in a membership/professional body, or customer focused environment.
- A strong and confident communicator
- Able to navigate a Content Management System (CMS) effectively along with various other marketing platforms
- Strong IT skills, proficient with Microsoft packages, such as MS Dynamics (CRM) and other database management
- Self-driven problem solver with good attention to detail, who is confident and can build strong stakeholder relationships

Salary: up to £32k
Location: Hybrid - work in our central London office or remotely, with office attendance for meetings
Hours: Full-Time Mon- Fri
Holiday: 33 days including Bank Holidays
