£35,000 + bonus (varies but on average 12.5%)

This role is a rare opportunity to work for a company and department with an outstanding track record of retention. Due to a retirement within the credit department my client is looking for a Credit Controller to join their team of 7.

They work 35 hours a week in a hybrid set up (3 days office / 2 WFH). Duties

  • Managing a multicurrency ledger of approx 200 accounts, worth 12-15 million monthly
  • Chasing debts and investigating and resolving invoice queries
  • Credit checking and setting of credit limits
  • Responsible for making decisions on accounts to be passed to debt collection or legal action
  • Cash allocation
  • Monthly aged debt reporting
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Dealing with credit and non credit accounts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience within credit control
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation and closing skills
  • Works well within a team
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Excel
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure.
  • Commitment to achieving individual, departmental and wider Company results.
  • High levels of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Ability to take ownership and work under own initiative with limited supervision.
  • An assertive but courteous approach to handling and resolving problems.
