Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse
Employment: Permanent (full-time and part-time options)
Hrs: Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm)
Location: Oxford
Salary: £38,480 - £42,640 per annum + Car allowance or Company Car + Shift enhancements

In this role, you will collaborate with designated hospitals and health centres to educate and support patients, undergoing Oncology/Chemotherapy treatments, within the Oxford area. You will be responsible for ensuring services are delivered in a patient-centric, customer-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake clinical assessment of patient's needs
- Conduct training and education to ensure patient and/or carer are able to safely self-medicate relevant medications
- Provide on-going support to patients, through the combination of support programmes. Including telephone, clinic-based and home visits, as per product and client protocols
- Assess patient's home environment, to ensure it is suitable for home IV oncology treatment, including ensuring the environment is safe and secure

Requirements for this role:
- Registered Nurse (RGN) - NMC Registration
- Chemotherapy delivery qualification
- Experience in administering oncology medication, either in hospital or a community environment
- Experience in undertaking clinical assessments and administering sub-cutaneous injections
- Experienced in the care of IV devices and administration of IV therapies
- Clinical skills required include: clinical assessment, administering I.V. injections, cannulation and phlebotomy skills
