My Client are recruiting for a Lead Design Engineer in the Water Sector

The Client are looking for a Lead Design Engineer to deliver a range of water and wastewater projects on Their Thames Water Framework in the Thames Valley Region.

Location: Reading with Hybrid workig

They continue to successfully deliver our AMP 7 projects and are preparing to move into AMP8 delivery with Thames Water. They are looking for a people with the knowledge, experience, and drive to take this forward.
As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be accountable for the delivery of all aspects of design for a programme of projects in either Wastewater Treatment, Clean Water Production or Infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing your team of Project Leaders and other discipline engineers.

Your responsibilities:

Lead your team in the delivery of designs suitable for our construction teams to deliver working closely with your commercial and operational counterparts.
Provide direction to the team, including oversight of project controls, and ensuring compliance with quality, programme, and cost requirements.
Ensure the client's Asset Standards are applied correctly to the projects whilst driving efficiencies through challenging and promoting the good practice from other areas of the business.
Work closely with the client's Engineers to deliver our target project portfolio and to ensure we remain a trusted partner.
Analyse project performance and identify risks that may impact project delivery.
Embed a positive and honest environment for your team where everyone is challenged and encouraged to reach their potential.

Experience and Qualifications:

Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
Degree or similar qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering
Experience in water or wastewater design.
Experience of leading and developing a design team.
Experience and knowledge of the Designer and Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
