Job Description:

The Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing bespoke structural steel products for the building and construction industries. You will engage in a variety of responsibilities, from liaising with clients and stakeholders to troubleshooting on-site challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design bespoke structural steel products using AutoCAD.

* Innovate and enhance systems and processes to improve efficiency.

* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and builders to identify site requirements.

* Produce production information and manage multiple design projects.

* Drive new product development, from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to regulations.

This role demands a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensure project success.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

* Degree in engineering, design, or the built environment (or equivalent).

* Proficiency in AutoCAD or other 2D design tools.

* Strong attention to detail and data-driven mindset.

* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to solve complex challenges.

* Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word.

Desirable:

* Experience in Tekla software products.

* Familiarity with creating cutting profiles.

* 2+ years in design or manufacturing environments.
