Our client The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, is seeking a Temporary Commissioning Manager to join their team in Enderby, Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact and contribute to the delivery of their Commissioning Framework.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. UNFORTUNATELY ANYTHING LESS THAN THIS WILL NOT BE CONTACTED OR CONSIDERED.

Responsibilities:

Lead the negotiation of effective commissioning arrangements with community safety, criminal justice, health, VCSE, and other partnersManage commissioning, decommissioning, and re-commissioning services according to the Commissioning FrameworkBe responsible for managing contracts and funding agreements, including effective governance arrangementsPrepare written briefings, capturing salient points and considering the wider landscapeUndertake systematic and routine engagement with relevant bodies to promote joint working

Requirements:

Educated to degree level or equivalent, or specific relevant experienceExperience in developing and managing commissioning and contracting functions in a partnership environmentProven ability to achieve results through skilled influence and negotiationExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearlyFull driving licence and willingness to use own car for business purposes
