Main Responsibilities:
- Complete cleaning tasks and schedules in a timely manner as directed by the Housekeeper or Cleaning Supervisor and to the complete satisfaction of the client, according to the cleaning rota. This includes but is not limited to walls, floors, fixtures, fittings and equipment, etc.
- Maintain the areas under your control in a clean and tidy fashion at all times, ensuring that at the end of your shift your areas are left in a clean, tidy, hygienic and in a safe condition.
- Ensure that legal and school requirements are adhered to in respect of hygiene, the Health and Safety and Employment Law for all staff, visitors and customers.
- Ensure that all school standards, policies and procedures are maintained at all times, including but not limited to cleaning schedules and accurate timesheet recording.
- Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene, cleanliness and appearance is maintained at all times.
- Ensure you act in the interest of your own safety and the safety of others at all times.
- Demonstrate a professional, courteous and friendly attitude towards all staff and work colleagues at all times.
- Help with furniture moving as directed by the Head of Housekeeping or General Manager
Additional Responsibilities:
- Undertake any reasonable task as directed by the Housekeeper or Cleaning Supervisor, which may on occasions be outside the normal daily routine or tasks.
- Report all accidents/sickness following school procedures.
- Report promptly to the manager/supervisor any working hazards or sub-standard equipment that could provide a barrier to achieving of any of the above and/or compromise safety.
- Communicate with the Housekeeper/Supervisor any relevant feedback or information specific to the contract.
- Guard against pilferage, misuse or abuse of all company or client goods and equipment.
- Attend meetings and training courses as required.
Site-specific duties:
- Observe at all times Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures and to be aware of the correct reporting procedures in line with PGS Policy.
- Practice a high level of customer service with due consideration to the age of our customers.
Holidays may only be taken outside of school terms other than by special request.

Hours of work: 16:30 to 19:30, Monday to Friday and 13:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays (term-time only)
Salary: The salary for this role is £13.85 per hour.
