ROLE- Mechanical Design / Manufacturing EngineerLOCATION- BerkshireTERM- PermanentSALARY- £40,000- £52,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)My engineering client are looking to take on an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with manufacturing skills, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area.The Mechanical Design Engineer / Manufacturing Engineerwill ideally have the following attributes:

• NVQ/ HNC / HND / Degree qualification in a Mechanical Engineering 
• 4 years’ or more experience working in another similar hands on Design / Manufacturing role
• Proficient working with 3D CAD - SolidWorks or similar 
• Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP and APQP would be desirable
• Be familiar with ISO9001 quality standards
• Be able to pay close attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to work well alone as well as part of a small team

The Mechanical Design Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:

• Supporting the engineering and production team with the design and development of products
• Being involved in NPI activities
• Providing engineering support
• Using SolidWorks CAD software on a regular basis 
• Being involved with process development
• Working to the companies Health & Safety requirements
• Creating and updating BOM’s
