Project Manager / Project Engineer - Construction & Security Infrastructure

Location: Samlesbury / Warton
Type: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension or Temp-to-Perm)
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week (with some flexibility at times)
Security Clearance: BPSS to start, SC in progress

Join BAE Systems, a world-leading defense and aerospace company, as a Project Manager or Project Engineer overseeing key infrastructure and security upgrade projects across our estate. You'll be part of a high-performing team delivering critical construction, plant & equipment, and security-focused initiatives that support the long-term transformation of our facilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

Managing construction and plant/equipment projects, ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
Leading design and delivery phases of construction projects in accordance with RIBA stages, including office-based planning and onsite execution.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, engineering professionals, SMEs, and external consultants to interpret customer requirements and deliver project outcomes.
Overseeing infrastructure development including lighting systems, HVAC, security fencing, and facilities rationalisation.
Working across multiple project phases: Design, Delivery, Handover - including documentation, budget planning, financial justification, and quality assurance.
Managing suppliers and consultants to ensure value for money, quality results, and customer satisfaction.What You'll Need:

Proven experience managing large-scale construction or plant/equipment installations.
Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations, Building Control, and statutory legislation.
Effective supplier management and communication skills.
Project Management qualifications and a track record of successful delivery.
Ability to operate independently with a flexible, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
Excellent coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement abilities.Desirable Skills:

Design Management experience in construction projects.
Previous experience managing security infrastructure upgrades.
Background in mechanical, electrical, or security-focused projects.
Familiarity with Net Zero Carbon initiatives is a plus.Why Join Us?
