Due to the expansion of Wilson Access, we are recruiting a Spider Delivery Driver & Operator for our growing team based in Birmingham, but we would consider other locations.

Although experience would be an advantage, it is not essential as full training will be given. We are more interested in individuals who are eager to learn and excel within the specialist world of spider delivery and site operations across the UK.

Main Responsibilities

As a Spider Delivery Driver & Operator, you will:

Drive a 16-t rigid delivery wagon paired with a spiderlift to and from customer sites across the UK.
Safe Operation: Safely position and operate the spiderlift at elevated work areas for diverse site requirements, following safety guidelines.
Site Setup: Precisely position and operate the spiderlift equipment for diverse site requirements.
Equipment Care: Perform comprehensive pre-start checks and basic maintenance and promptly report any equipment issues.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of site operations, equipment usage, inspections, and hours worked.
Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety regulations and company policies and stay continuously updated on industry standards, safety procedures, and equipment technologies.
Customer Interaction: Maintain professionalism when working with clients across various sites and industries.

Essential Skills

Must be comfortable working at height with equipment operating at various elevations across various site types, including construction and infrastructure locations
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts, nights, and weekends
Outgoing and enthusiastic approach to technical and customer-facing work with excellent communication skills
Good timekeeping, able to use initiative in complex site environments
Physical fitness to handle equipment setup and operation
Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team

Desirable Skills

A basic technical understanding of site operations would be an advantage.
