Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Redhill. As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in guiding students through engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards and support diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons that align with the national curriculum.
- Foster a love for mathematics, encouraging students to develop confidence in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and personalised support to meet individual learning goals.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, promoting respect, engagement, and active participation.
- Develop resources and differentiated materials to support students with varying abilities, including SEN and EAL students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding academic progress and behaviour.
- Participate in department meetings, school initiatives, and professional development activities to enhance teaching practices.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, maths clubs, or mentorship as required.
Essential Skills and Experience - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Maths at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with the ability to inspire students’ interest in mathematical concepts and applications.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with a proactive and positive approach to student engagement.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment that addresses diverse student needs and promotes academic success.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies in an educational setting.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Any additional qualifications or experience in education are advantageous.
