We are currently recruiting for a longstanding client with an exciting opportunity to recruit a new Finance role into their structure. You will enjoy a really broad role with split responsibility across 2 separate business entities; working closely with the Finance Manager on a broad range of core financial management activities and operating as a key Business Partner to the CEO of an entrepreneurial SME business; taking the lead role in all finance matters and nurturing a positive working relationship.

This is a great first Finance Business Partner role for someone looking to build upon their experience in Commercial/Transactional Finance or Accountancy and work in true partnership with business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture positive working relationships with key stakeholders, up to C-suite level
• Oversee cash management, reconcile accounts, update spreadsheets and make weekly postings
• Support the month end process
• Preparation and posting of monthly recharges and stock balances
• Support the annual statutory audit process
• Raise sales invoices
• Undertake credit control activity
• Monitor and oversee queries within the Finance email inbox
• Deal with invoice queries
• General support to the Finance Manager to include contributing ideas to the finance strategy and adhoc projects
• Drive positive working relationships at all levels with colleagues and key stakeholders across the business

Key Skills & Experience

• Experienced in a similar Finance role
• Skills in relationship management, able to respond efficiently to changing demands with the ability to challenge others’ thinking where necessary
• Ideally experience of working across different business subsidaries
• Flexible approach, willing to take on tasks relating to accountancy alongside transactional finance duties
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Strong systems knowledge; Microsoft Office, Excel and experience using a finance system
