The Role

The Supply Chain Manager (Supplier Development Manager) will utilise their career experience and knowledge to ensure effective supplier performance, capability & risk management. Working across a number of projects in a fast-paced commercial environment you will deliver the following key duties:

• Improve Supplier Performance (Delivery and Quality) using appropriate tools and lean methodologies
• Manage a portfolio of suppliers on a day to day basis and reporting into designated projects detail the performance and manage supply chain risks
• Conduct capacity audits to identify key bottlenecks, yield, resources and sub-tier mapping activities to form an industrial view of supplier
• Assess supply chain and suppliers capability for both current & future projects
• Conducting supply chain analysis and delivering reports to senior management level

What they're looking for

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in Supply Chain Management which includes experience Supplier Development. Experience across Aerospace, Defence or Technical Manufacturing environments is preferred. You will have strong problem solving skills and understanding of techniques such as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) to develop & implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within Supply Chain. This supply chain experience will be coupled with excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
