Job Overview:

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our secondary school in East Grinstead as a Cover Supervisor. This role is ideal for someone seeking hands-on experience in a supportive school environment, offering excellent career progression opportunities. You will manage classrooms using pre-prepared lesson plans, supervise students, and provide one-to-one support when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-set lesson plans provided by the subject teacher or department.
Supervise students, ensuring they stay on task and follow the school's behavior policy.
Create a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student participation.
Provide basic guidance and clarification on classwork when needed.
Ensure all materials and resources are available and organized for the lesson.
Manage classroom behavior and address any immediate issues or questions from students.
Work with individual students or small groups to support their learning needs.

Encourage students to complete their work to the best of their ability and track their progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
