Plant Service Engineer

Toro Recruitment is proud to represent an innovative and fast-growing organisation in the energy sector. We are currently seeking a motivated Plant Service Engineer to join their dynamic Operations & Maintenance team in Greater London.

This role is ideal for an individual with hands-on experience in plant maintenance and a passion for delivering operational excellence across commercial heating systems. The position offers a mix of planned maintenance, fault response, and project work aimed at improving efficiency across a network of district heating systems.

Key Responsibilities of Plant Service Engineer:

* Carry out mechanical PPMs and remedial works on equipment such as pumps, valves, actuators, and pressurisation units.

* Diagnose faults and perform repairs on commercial plant systems and associated pipework.

* Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs and participate in the on-call rota (typically 1 week in 4).

* Support site-based projects by developing scopes of work and safely isolating plant equipment.

* Maintain accurate records via the digital maintenance system, ensuring compliance and transparency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a commercial plant or building services engineering role.

* Familiarity with mechanical plantrooms exceeding 1MW and working knowledge of commercial gas systems.

* Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and mechanical schematics.

* Basic electrical competency and safe isolation experience (both mechanical and electrical).

* Valid full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months).
