Based in Central London, this school is recruiting for a full time (all year round)  Human Resources Administrator

Working hours are 8.30 - 16.30 Monday - Friday

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing pre-employment checks, the onboarding process, and probation procedures in line with our School’s policies. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Assist with pre-employment checks for various employment types and manage the onboarding process.
  • Manage the probation process, providing advice to managers, and maintaining documentation.
  • Input data into the Single Central Record and ensure compliance with ISI Regulations.
  • Administer DBS records, conduct Update Service checks, and maintain the Single Central Record.
  • Input teaching sickness absences and other types of absences into iTrent.
  • Maintain the school system (iSAMS) and HR system (iTrent/SCR), ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Provide accurate details for starters and leavers to the Operations Administrator.
  • Lead administrative support in recruitment for teaching vacancies, including raising POs, placing adverts, and coordinating interview logistics.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain staff training data.
  • Maintain an up-to-date library of job descriptions and person specifications.
  • Manage the HR inbox, flagging or escalating urgent emails as necessary.
  • Keep HR files and records secure and up to date, dealing with confidential material appropriately.
  • Administer payroll duties in line with payroll deadlines.
  • Undertake additional duties as required, ensuring compliance with the school’s Child Protection Policy and promoting equal opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in recruitment and/or HR.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of work and attention to detail during busy periods.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Experience handling confidential data and sensitive issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
