ROLE – Mechanical Design EngineerLOCATION – St AlbansTERM - PermanentSALARY - £35,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experienceI am working with a growing company in St Albans who are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. Ideally, we would like you to:

• Be skilled in using 2D and 3D CAD software - Solidworks
• 5 Years experience in Product/Mechanical Design Engineering
• Be able to create models / prototypes
• Be technically minded
• Experience in Lighting design
• Have a product design/ engineering related degree
• Have experience designing products/ projects from concept to completion
• Strong Design for Manufacture skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop your ideas from concept to production.
• Sketch ideas and develop concepts.
• Create models/prototypes.
• Do market research, visit clients and listen to their feedback.
• Use all manufacturing processes.
• View and review tooling trials – potential for overseas travel.
• Quality test new products
