Legal Officer- London- 35 hours a week - Immediate Start - 3 months

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector and Not-for-Profit is proud to be working with a trade union with a membership of over half a million nurses, midwives, nursing support workers and students,to appoint a Legal Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

What the Legal Officer will be doing:-

• To provide legal advice and representation to members in regulatory law proceedings
• Manage caseloads and, in conjunction with lawyers and support staff within the department, work as part of the regulatory law team and the wider Legal Department
• Ensure the delivery of quality and cost effective legal services to members, demonstrating the efficient use of resources, in accordance with the terms of membership contract, professional standards and and departmental strategic objectives

What the Legal Officer will bring to the team:-

• Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Barrister
• Expert knowledge of either regulatory, criminal, employment, public law or civil litigation
• Experience of managing a large case load of approximately between 50-100 cases (depending on specialism) with supervision and taking direction accordingly
• Health sector experience

Benefits:

• Monday to Friday with no weekends
• £26.23 per hour
• Office based in Central London
