Learning Support Assistant (Full-Time) - Medway

Pay Rate: £88 - £90 per day

Are you passionate about supporting students to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Medway.

About Us:

Supporting pupils aged 4 to 19 with complex needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Asperger's
Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Mixed-gender school setting
This role may require personal care, so you must be comfortable providing this support.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and personal growth
Support students in managing their behaviour and understanding its impact
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other agencies to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Facilitate the delivery of highly personalised programmes to address individual needs

What We're Looking For:

A compassionate and adaptable individual with a genuine interest in supporting young people
Previous experience in education, care, or working with students with additional needs (preferred but not essential)
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure

Requirements:

Willingness to travel up to an hour to work
Legal right to work in the UK
Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN), particularly PMLD, is advantageous
Ability to provide personal care support, including toileting and feeding, as needed
Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a positive approach
Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and obtain clearances
